I could find information on this topic by going to certain websites, reading articles, watching videos, and looking at pictures. I can use these sources because they are easy to find. To bring personal narratives in my research I could inter view my family.
For your first question, it's fairly specific. What's your bigger point? Why is it useful to explore what the people of NYC did after 9/11? For instance, your bigger question might be, "How did 9/11 impact the culture of New York City right after the attack? How is it still impacting the culture today?" The reason this question is more "concept-based" is because it's exploring how tragedy can impact our communities.
